Ortles Week

Saturday: welcome and presentation of the program
Sunday: hiking tourto the K2 climbing garden and introduction to the basics of rock climbing (how to make knots, climbing techniques, abseiling)
Monday: glacier course on the Sulden glacier
Tuesday: Free day; in the evening film presentation “200 Jahre Ortler Erstbesteigung” (200 years since the first ascent of the Ortler)
Wednesday: "Hinteres Schöneck" 3.143 m
Thursday: hiking tour to the Payerhütte (alpine hut) 3.029m above sea level
Friday: climbing the Ortler 3.905m above sea level; in the evening mountain guides' regular table with a review of the week.

Services include: 7 days half board accommodation, mountain guide, rental equipment (ice axe, climbing helmet, strap, crampons), ski lifts and 1 night's accommodation in the Payerhütte (mountain hut)

Fitness requirements: very fit and sure-footed; climbs of a max. height of 900m for approx. 3.5-4.5 hours
